BioSpring Coaching* was born 6 years ago, when after 20+years in technology commercialisation, consultancy and start-up, Founding director Dr Nick Pope decided to take his extensive multi-disciplinary expertise and use it to make a greater collective impact by helping others succeed.

As founder & lead Coach, Nick brings a scientific background and 30 years experience working in business development and R&D, mainly within the Lifesciences & Healthcare sectors. An experienced business coach, consultant and hands-on business developer, skilled in technology commercialisation and business model development, he believes that passionate and empowered teams are the key to success; and is The route to truly high performing businesses, fit to survive and win in the highly dynamic 21st-century world.
Industry Experience
As well as founding BioSpring, Nick has also co-founded 3 businesses, served as interim CEO / CBO, NED or Board Advisor on numerous occasions, provided strategic advice to a wide range of organizational types and sizes, and served on several investment panels. Past clients of Nick’s range from major corporations such as Roche and AstraZeneca, through SMEs to start-up businesses; and from Universities to NHS Trusts and AHSNs.
BioSpring’s coaching activities began 6 years ago with business coaching on the business accelerator and start-up programmes, where Nick began developing the skills to help businesses and individuals to navigate & deal with the extreme uncertainty faced by start-up businesses – and now faced by all organization in today’s dynamic and pandemic impacted world.
Qualifications & Training
Trained to ILM7 Executive Coaching and Mentoring, and in NLP, Nick has an MBA from Warwick Business School (WBS), a PhD in Biochemistry & Genetics from Birmingham University, an Investment Management Certificate and is a UK Mountain Leader.
